In order to use EXSTER control, certain conditions are required from both Volvo Trucks and
Tele Radio. The system is currently offered as an option for Volvo’s truck models FM, FMX, FH and FH16.
Do you want to know more about the different options?
Tele Radio’s TEQ radio control is our choice for EXSTER. The reason for this is that it is a safe and smart system that communicates via Can Bus, J1939.
Do you want to know more about exactly which options are required?
The installation for EXSTER and Tele Radio’s radio control is very simple. Some modification, wiring and adaptation is necessary.
Do you want to know more about the requirements?
Tele Radio’s radio control for EXSTER is much easier to install than you might think. We have a ready-made standard system that is almost exclusively plug and play.
At the first installation, Tele Radio will support you on site, after which our installation technician is available for future installations.
Installing the system is both safe and easy. It is connected directly to the truck via EXSTER, which allows for a simple and quick installation. The prerequisite for installing EXSTER requires wiring, mounting of a stop switch, wiring to the BBM and wiring to the passenger side tool box. If the vehicle is to be driven very slowly, a creeper gear is also recommended. In addition to these physical components, the truck also requires the EXSTER configuration variant.
The system offers full control for you as a user and this means that you can easily use functions such as driving forward and backward. You can also stop and turn without any problems, all while you are outside the cab. This way you have greater flexibility and an overview of the situation, which increases safety around the truck. To meet Volvo’s safety thinking regarding bodywork, we use Can Bus, J1930 and communicate directly with the VOLVO EXSTER system. This reduces safety risks and sources of error, which also makes the installation optimized.
In addition to safety, radio control is both cost and work-efficient. You have the opportunity to drive the truck with one and the same transmitter at the same time as you control one or more bodywork, and can therefore do the work of two people.
