Have you ever had your Tele Radio waist transmitter fall out of your hands? Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us! Our Tele Radio Waist Transmitters can take a beating. These transmitters has been developed in such a way that it can withstand the most severe drops. Not only is the housing of our transmitters robust, to guarantee extra safety there is a fall protection or automatic fall detection on several of our remote controls.
Our VersaTEQ and SupraTEQ transmitters contain an accelerometer that measures the “free fall” of the remote control. If the accelerometer detects that the transmitter is falling, it immediately activates the stop button. How the transmitter responds to a free fall signal can be programmed according to the application for which the transmitter is used.
In many workshops, heavy objects, such as a concrete block or a boat, are moved via an overhead crane. There may be a situation where the operator of an overhead crane drops the transmitter from his hands while the heavy object is hanging from the crane. To ensure that the transmitter does not simply release a triggered function, in this case holding an object during its fall, the accelerometer detects this and ensures that the function continues to operate.
The accelerometer also ensures that buttons / switches on the transmitter are not accidentally activated when the transmitter hits the ground. This guarantees safety in the workplace.
